Refund or cancellation eligibility usually depends on fare rules and carrier policies.

Follow the status of a cancellation or refund using your ticket or PNR details.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are typically returned to the original payment method; bank timing can vary.

Contact support

If you get stuck, use the help centre or contact channels for guidance.

How do I cancel a ticket?

Cancellation is possible when your ticket rules allow it. The steps below are a general guide; available options depend on your specific fare conditions.

  1. 1Locate your booking or ticket details (PNR, email, passenger name).
  2. 2Review cancellation, change and refund rules for that ticket.
  3. 3If cancellation is available, start the request in the relevant flow or via support.
  4. 4Follow the outcome and any refund status afterwards.

How does the refund process work?

Refund eligibility depends on the bus operator or airline rules and your fare conditions. Not every ticket is automatically refundable.

When a refund is approved, it is usually processed back to the payment method used at purchase. The time for the amount to appear on your statement depends on the bank or payment provider; MetaBilet cannot guarantee a fixed number of banking days.

Where available, MetaBilet may surface request status (received, processing, completed) against your ticket or order details.

Cancellation and refund conditions

Eligibility is not a single fixed rule. These factors often matter:

  • Time remaining before departure
  • Operator / airline policies
  • Promotional or special fares
  • Partial use of the ticket
  • No-show (not travelling)
  • Payment method and transaction status

Bus ticket cancellations and refunds

Bus operators may apply different cancellation windows and fees. Some operators limit online cancellation or require PNR / ticket details to proceed.

Close to departure, operator rules are usually decisive. There is no universal last-minute deadline for every company—always check your ticket’s own conditions.

Flight ticket cancellations and refunds

For flights, refunds and changes typically depend on fare rules, cabin/class, airline policy, promotions, and any taxes or penalties.

Some fares are non-refundable or allow changes only. Review the conditions shown on the flight option or ticket detail before you request a change.

When will a refund reach my account?

First the refund must be completed in MetaBilet’s or the payment flow’s systems. Then your bank or payment provider posts the amount to your account.

Processing times vary by institution, card and country. MetaBilet does not promise a fixed “X days” timeline—check both order status and your bank statement.

Tickets that cannot be cancelled or refunded

Some promotional or special fare classes exclude cancellation or refunds. Carrier rules, travel already started, or elapsed time windows can also remove options.

If you do not see a cancel option, it is often because of those conditions. Support can explain what is possible under the rules, but cannot override carrier policy.

Need help?

If you cannot find your ticket or finish a request, use ticket lookup, the help centre or contact options. Have your PNR, travel date and passenger name ready.

Frequently asked questions

  • How can I cancel my ticket?
Find your ticket or PNR and check the cancellation rules. If allowed, start the request in the relevant flow or through support.

No. Refundability depends on carrier/airline rules, fare class and promotions. Some tickets are non-refundable.

Usually not. Bus policies differ by operator; flights follow fare rules and airline conditions. Always check your own ticket.
